Parked Pages Update

Our parking and forwarding system was long overdue for an overhaul. We updated the look and feel of our parking pages, as well as corrected a URL forwarding problem. The net result is no change in functionality, although I am sure you will appreciate the new search terms on the parking pages that you can use as resources for building your websites.

Site Forwarding Behavior Updated

We've updated the site forwarding behavior to allow redirection of deep URLs for a given domain name. So if a user types a long URL (or bookmark), and the site is, for example, forwarded because of a maintenance window, the user will be redirected to the maintenance page instead of getting a 404 error (from our servers, not the website). This does not create any compatibility issues as the previous behavior is unlikely to be the expected behavior.

This behavior is the same regardless of whether the site is just forwarded, or forwarded and masked. If this causes any unexpected errors with your site, please contact support.

We changed the default port for chat from 25 to 110. While we enjoyed using our chat server as a spamtrap for oh so many spammers, we decided it was time to free up the bandwidth for better uses. If you have any problems using chat on the new port, please send us an email.

FEATURE UPDATE: BULK DNS SERVICES

You can now add domains directly to a group upon creation, rather than having to assign them afterwards. The new domains are added using the group's template. This greatly simplifies domain management. We have updated the Bulk DNS tutorial to reflect this change. Thank you to everyone who requested this feature, we hear you loud and clear! Keep it coming!

Fixed a problem with the login page being case sensitive for the username instead of case- insensitive. We're sorry for the inconvenience! Username is case-insensitive; your password is still case-sensitive.

Today we updated the site with mainly cosmetic changes based on feedback from our customers. We changed the terminology of Primary DNS Services to Full DNS Services to avoid confusion: our primary service includes secondary service.
